The founders of the Big Data Exchange, Duncan Webb and Paul Gray, recently met with Iain Duncan, a banking consultant and access to finance specialist, to discuss financing options for their company.
The meeting, which took place at The Big Data Exchanges’ headquarters in Preston, was aimed at exploring different financing options available to the company and developing a plan for accessing these options. Iain provided his expertise in banking and finance, and discussed different sources of funding that could be available to the company, including loans, grants, and equity finance.
Duncan and Paul were particularly interested in exploring equity finance options, which would enable them to secure funding from investors in exchange for a share of the company. Iain helped them to understand the different types of equity finance available and advised them on how to prepare a pitch for potential investors.
In addition to discussing financing options, Iain also provided guidance on financial planning and helped the BDE founders to develop a financial strategy for the future. This included reviewing their existing financial projections and developing a plan to achieve their growth objectives.
Commenting on the meeting, Paul Gray, co-founder of BDE, said: “We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet with Iain and discuss financing options for our business. His expertise and guidance have been invaluable in helping us to understand the different sources of funding available and how to access them. We are now much better equipped to secure the funding we need to take our business to the next level.”
The meeting with Iain highlights the importance of seeking professional financial advice when planning the growth and development of a business. By working with experts in this field, business owners can ensure that they have a solid financial plan that can be used to guide their decision-making and secure funding for future growth.
